Senator Ted Gaines (R-El Dorado) today announced that he has earned a perfect score on the California Chamber of Commerce’s (CalChamber) 2017 Legislative Vote Record. Gaines was one of only 10 state legislators out of the 120 Assembly and Senate members to receive the top score.
“I am honored to stand with California businesses in the fight against the over-spending crisis that plagues Sacramento,” said Senator Gaines. “As a business owner myself, I know the hurdles and burdens hardworking taxpayers face every day. California should be creating opportunities for individuals and businesses to thrive, not stifling their growth with excessive taxes and onerous regulations.”
The CalChamber’s Vote Record is designed to hold lawmakers accountable for their actions and to inform its members how their lawmakers represented them on key business issues. CalChamber is a non-profit organization representing more than 14,000 companies of all sizes.
The 2017 Vote Record is based on a compilation of the highest priority bills on which CalChamber took a position. Most bills in CalChamber's vote record covered major business issues that are of concern to both small and large companies.
